Job Title: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Hove
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Are you passionate about giving every child the confidence to believe they can achieve anything? GSL Education are seeking a dynamic Nursery Practitioner to join an innovative early years setting in Hove that's reimagining what early childhood education can be. Here, children learn through exploration, creativity and joyful discovery.
About the Role: Working with children aged 3-5, you'll create an environment where natural curiosity leads to meaningful learning. Using child-led approaches alongside structured activities, you'll help young learners develop independence, resilience and a genuine love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow children's interests to create engaging, meaningful learning opportunities
- Set up provocations and learning environments that encourage investigation and discovery
- Document learning through photography and observations, creating beautiful learning stories
- Support children's emotional intelligence and self-regulation skills
- Collaborate with families as partners in their child's learning journey
- Use technology and natural materials to enhance learning experiences
Job Requirements:
- Early Years qualification (Level 3 preferred) with up-to-date knowledge of EYFS
- Experience with child-led learning approaches and emergent curriculum
- Strong understanding of how young children learn and develop
- Excellent documentation and observation skills
- Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting all children to thrive
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
