Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Newcastle
Salary Range: £84 - £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newcastle.
Job Responsibilities of the SEN TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies.
- Support students both in and out of the classroom to ensure engagement and progress.
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings when required.
Job Requirements of the SEN TA:
- Previous experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a secondary school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
