Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Upper Beeding
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Upper Beeding. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on children's educational journey while working as part of a dedicated teaching team.

About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll provide essential support across the primary classroom, helping children aged 4-11 with their learning and development. You'll work alongside qualified teachers to ensure every child receives the individual attention they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support and assist with daily learning activities
  • Support individual children and small groups with their learning
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources for lessons
  • Encourage participation and help pupils stay focused and engaged
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Support children's social and emotional development

Job Requirements:

  • Some experience working with children (in school, childcare, or community settings)
  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and support diverse learning needs
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
