Role: Secondary Geography Teacher
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time / Permanent

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Secondary Geography Teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people to explore the world around them and develop their understanding of geographical concepts and global issues.
Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Geography Teacher:
- Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students’ geographical knowledge and understanding of the world.
- Encourage critical thinking, environmental awareness, and the ability to interpret data, maps, and case studies.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support.
- Contribute to the Geography department’s curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Support whole-school initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student outcomes.
The Ideal Secondary Geography Teacher Will Have:
- QTS, ECT status, or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
- A specialism in Geography with strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, student-centred lessons.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A commitment to promoting cultural awareness, sustainability, and global citizenship.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
