Primary Teacher – Mainstream Primary School – Weymouth, Dorset
Start Date: September 2025 | Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a committed Primary Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Weymouth, Dorset from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering a competitive salary of £30,000 – £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Applications are invited from teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Responsibilities of a Primary School Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to cater for the needs of all pupils, ensuring progress for every child
- Promote a positive classroom culture that supports academic achievement and personal growth
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support where needed
- Foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in all subject areas
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour management in line with school policy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ development
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular clubs, events, and trips
Primary Teacher Requirements:
- QTS or ECT status is essential
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Passion for education and the ability to inspire young learners
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
