Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you an inspiring primary teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a thriving educational community?

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a dynamic primary school in Eastbourne, catering to children aged 4–11 across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who wants to create engaging learning experiences while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

About the Role: This is a rewarding, creative role where you'll deliver inspiring lessons across the primary curriculum, helping children develop essential skills and knowledge. You'll work in a collaborative setting where innovation is encouraged and professional development is prioritised — all supported by excellent resources, teamwork, and strong leadership.

Experience with creative curriculum delivery, differentiated learning, assessment strategies, or supporting children with diverse learning needs will be a strong advantage — but if you're still developing these skills, you're warmly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and achievement
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and next steps
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community
  • Contribute to school events, performances, and educational initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in primary settings (KS1/KS2)
  • Strong classroom management and behavior management skills
  • Creative approach to lesson planning and curriculum delivery
  • Understanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake relevant training
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)

What We Offer:

  • Daily pay of £120–£200
  • Specialist support from a dedicated education consultant
  • Opportunities to develop teaching expertise in a supportive primary setting

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.

As an ethical, inclusive and independent recruitment agency, GSL Education are committed to providing quality teaching and support staff in schools across the UK.
