Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Sheffield, S4
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This position is perfect for someone who wants to nurture students’ talents and encourage a love of the performing arts.

Role Overview:
As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, supporting students to develop their skills in acting, production, and theatre studies. Your passion will help foster creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.

Responsibilities as a Drama Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic drama lessons tailored to varying abilities.
  • Encourage participation in school productions and extracurricular activities.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the school’s performing arts provision.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

Requirements for Drama Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related subject is desirable.
  • Experience teaching Drama at school level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
