Salary: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to work in schools across the Hathersage area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ programming skills and digital literacy.

Responsibilities as a Computer Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Deliver programming lessons in languages such as Python, HTML, or JavaScript in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Inspire curiosity and problem-solving through practical digital projects and activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Encourage responsible digital citizenship throughout the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for a Computer Science Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable.
  • Confident in delivering programming languages and computational thinking.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
  • Passionate about technology and digital learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations of any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
