Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Salary: 13.68 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time for the right candidate)

A friendly, inclusive nursery in Totton is seeking Nursery Assistants to support the care and development of children aged 2–4. This setting values kindness, creativity, and early learning through exploration and play.

You will be part of a supportive team that creates a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant:
- Supporting the care, supervision, and play of young children.
- Helping to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Encouraging children’s communication, independence, and confidence.
- Working closely with nursery staff to meet each child’s individual needs.
- Assisting with routines such as snack times, toileting, and outdoor play.
Requirements of the Nursery Assistant:
- Warm, patient, and caring.
- Passionate about early years development.
- A great team player with strong communication skills.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
- Experience in a nursery or early years setting is a plus – but not essential.
- Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
