About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide tailored support to students, helping them overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential. You’ll assist with lesson preparation, deliver targeted interventions, and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities of Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning strategies.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and model effective communication and study skills.
- Support classroom activities and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
- Work with external professionals when needed to ensure holistic student support.
Requirements for Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are a plus.
