Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Armthorpe
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day

Are you looking to gain classroom experience and support secondary students in their learning journey?

GSL Education are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day basis in schools in Armthorpe. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to take on a new challenge.

As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising pupils in the absence of a classroom teacher.
  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students stay on task.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Providing assistance to students where necessary.
  • Reporting back to the relevant teacher on student progress and behaviour.

To be a Cover Supervisor, candidate will require:

  • Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students (11–16), ideally in a school setting.
  • Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be confident, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to new environments.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full, 10-year career history with all employment gaps explained.
