Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lancing
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEN school in Lancing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills in special education while working in a nurturing environment.
About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll provide vital support to children with diverse learning needs. You'll work closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive and reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with special educational needs
- Assist with implementing individual education plans and behavior support strategies
- Help children develop communication, social, and life skills
- Support pupils with personal care needs when required
- Create and use visual aids and resources to enhance learning
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behavior
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in educational, care, or community settings)
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable children
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new approaches and techniques
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
