Job Title: MFL Teacher
Location: Hathersage (S32)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a welcoming school in Hathersage from September 2025. This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to teach French, Spanish, or German and promote a love for languages among students across Key Stages.

Role Overview:

As an MFL Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence and fluency in one or more foreign languages. You will play a key role in helping pupils understand diverse cultures and prepare for exams.

Responsibilities as an MFL Teacher:

  • Teach French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages.
  • Support students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Prepare students for GCSE or equivalent language qualifications.
  • Use creative and interactive resources to enhance language learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements for MFL Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Subject specialism in French, Spanish, or German.
  • Previous experience teaching MFL in schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
