About the Role
As a SEN Support for Primary, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you’ll provide tailored support, foster a nurturing learning environment, and champion inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Support for Primary
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement personalised support plans.
- Deliver one-on-one and small group interventions to support learning and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction, modelling empathy and patience.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with staff and parents.
- Work with external professionals where necessary to ensure holistic support.
Requirements for SEN Support for Primary
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous.
