About the Role
As a Primary Teaching Support staff member, you’ll play a vital role in assisting students with their learning, helping them overcome challenges, and celebrating their successes. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to foster a positive and engaging classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities of Primary Teaching Support
- Support the development and delivery of tailored education plans.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students, helping them grasp concepts and complete tasks.
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers to adjust strategies.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Promote an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
- Use creative teaching methods to engage diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reports.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Support
- Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Understanding of the needs of students with varying educational requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport within the school community.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to student success.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable but not essential).

- An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
