GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join a welcoming nursery setting in Bournemouth. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives and support their development during the most formative years.

Role Overview

As an Early Years Practitioner in Bournemouth, you will be instrumental in supporting children’s learning and development. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team to provide both individual and group support, helping children overcome challenges and build essential skills. Your responsibilities will include preparing engaging lesson materials, assisting with classroom activities, and tracking children’s progress.

Key Responsibilities of Early Years Practitioner

  • Partner with nursery staff to create and adapt personalised learning plans tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups using proven strategies to enhance academic and social development.
  • Encourage effective learning habits and model positive behaviour to foster a nurturing environment.
  • Support nursery staff in implementing inclusive learning strategies and promoting a respectful, cooperative atmosphere.
  • Maintain detailed records of children’s development and share updates with staff and families to ensure cohesive support.
  • Collaborate with professionals such as counsellors and social workers to provide holistic care and support.

Candidate Profile for Early Years Practitioner

  • Experience as an Early Years Practitioner or similar role.
  • Proven background in supporting young children.
  • A nurturing, empathetic approach with a strong commitment to child development.
  • Ability to build supportive relationships within the nursery community.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in early years education are desirable.
