Job Title: Construction Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: £30,000 - £43,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a Construction Teacher to join a dynamic school in Hull. The role is ideal for a qualified teacher or experienced industry professional with a desire to share their knowledge in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across construction-related subjects.
  • Teach practical and theoretical skills, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and industry standards.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare learners for assessments or qualifications.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support students’ career aspirations in construction.

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, or equivalent).
  • Sound knowledge of construction practices and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for helping students develop vocational skills and confidence.
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
