Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: £90 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Barnsley. As a TA, you will make a real difference in the classroom by providing tailored support to students and helping maintain a positive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside teachers to enhance student learning, development, and wellbeing.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment.
- Working with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
- Supporting children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive classroom practices.
- Helping with classroom management and lesson preparation.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role or working with children is desirable.
- A proactive, patient, and nurturing attitude.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Provide a comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years, with any employment gaps clearly explained.
