Position: Science Teacher

 Location: Enfield, North London
 Start Date: September 2025
 Contract Type: Fixed Term
 Salary: £150 - £250 per day (depending on experience and expertise)

A vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Enfield is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a  fixed term position ideal for someone who is passionate about fostering curiosity, delivering impactful lessons, and helping students explore the wonders of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 preferred but not essential).

  • Use hands-on practical experiments, real-world applications, and interactive tools to stimulate student interest.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.

  • Provide regular assessments and feedback to monitor progress and support achievement.

  • Support students of varying abilities, helping each to achieve their full potential.

  • Take an active role in school life including enrichment activities and academic initiatives.

About You:

  • You hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

  • Your subject knowledge in one or more science disciplines is strong and up to date.

  • You bring a dynamic, student-centred approach to the classroom.

  • You are confident in managing behaviour and encouraging student engagement.

  • You are organised, collaborative, and committed to professional development.

  • You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply for one).
