Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Hoyland (S74)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day

GSL Education are looking to appoint a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a day-to-day supply basis in schools located in Hoyland. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs.

As a Special Educational Needs TA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom.

Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is preferred.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
