Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S36)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a motivated and experienced Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join an engaging and supportive school in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to deliver dynamic, hands-on lessons that equip students with both practical and creative skills.
As a DT Teacher, you’ll lead exciting lessons in areas like product design, resistant materials, and graphics, encouraging critical thinking and technical exploration through practical projects.
Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Design and teach high-quality, curriculum-based DT lessons.
- Create a safe and inspiring learning environment in the workshop.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Motivate students to take pride in their craftsmanship and design thinking.
- Work closely with colleagues to contribute to students’ all-round development.
Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Prior experience teaching Design Technology is preferred.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication abilities.
- A strong enthusiasm for hands-on learning and technical subjects.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
