Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2)
Pay rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a school in Sheffield from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape students' understanding of the digital world and prepare them for a technology-driven future. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons across Key Stages, helping students develop skills in coding, computational thinking, and digital problem-solving.

Responsibilities as a Computer Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across different Key Stages.
  • Introduce students to programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch.
  • Support pupils in understanding computer systems, algorithms, and cybersecurity.
  • Encourage critical thinking and practical application of digital skills.
  • Monitor progress and provide tailored feedback to support improvement.

Requirements for Computer Science Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Specialism in Computer Science, ICT, or related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science in secondary schools.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and emerging technologies.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Provide a full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
