The Opportunity
A warm and welcoming nursery in Southampton is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join their team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children aged 0–5 during their most formative years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning environment.
You’ll work closely with nursery practitioners and families to ensure each child receives the care, encouragement, and early learning experiences they need to flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children’s development through play and structured activities
- Assisting with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest time
- Encouraging communication, creativity, and social interaction
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning space
- Collaborating with staff and parents to support each child’s individual needs

- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
- Confidence working with young children aged 0–5
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and a calm presence
- Experience in early years or childcare is ideal, but not essential
