Pay Rate: £13.68–£13.96 per hour (Depending on experience)

The Opportunity
A warm and welcoming nursery in Southampton is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join their team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children aged 0–5 during their most formative years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning environment.

You’ll work closely with nursery practitioners and families to ensure each child receives the care, encouragement, and early learning experiences they need to flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children’s development through play and structured activities
  • Assisting with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest time
  • Encouraging communication, creativity, and social interaction
  • Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning space
  • Collaborating with staff and parents to support each child’s individual needs

  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
  • Confidence working with young children aged 0–5
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and a calm presence
  • Experience in early years or childcare is ideal, but not essential
