Job Title: Subject Specialist
Location: Chesterfield
Pay Rate: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking dynamic and knowledgeable Subject Specialists to support schools in Chesterfield, starting from September 2025. This role is ideal for educators with a strong background in a specific subject area who are ready to make a meaningful impact on student progress.
As a Subject Specialist, you will bring in-depth knowledge and expertise in your chosen subject to support teaching and learning across Key Stages.
As a Subject Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality lessons in your area of expertise.
- Supporting pupils across Key Stages with subject-specific interventions and curriculum support.
- Collaborating with teachers to enhance subject delivery and outcomes.
- Providing targeted support to students who need additional help.
- Maintaining a positive and focused learning environment.
To be a Subject Specialist, candidates will require:
- A strong academic background in a specific subject area (e.g., Maths, Science, English, Humanities, etc.).
- Experience working in a secondary school or tutoring environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to classroom support.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A full CV with a clear 10-year history, with any gaps explained.
