Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Brighton
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream school in Brighton. The school is committed to providing inclusive support to pupils with additional needs, and they’re looking for someone who’s patient, kind, and motivated to help pupils thrive.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support pupils with a range of SEN across the school. You might be working 1:1 with a child with autism, assisting small groups, or supporting the class more generally. Every day will bring something new and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support learning plans for pupils with SEN
• Provide calm and consistent support throughout the school day
• Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Job Requirements:
• Experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEN
• Patient, caring and able to stay calm under pressure
• Good communication skills and a team mindset
• Reliable and adaptable to changing needs
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
