Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: St Leonards
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist provision in St Leonards. The role is perfect for someone who’s calm, resilient, and wants to help pupils succeed both emotionally and academically.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll support pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour challenges, or trauma-related needs. You’ll help them feel safe, supported and ready to learn, while working closely with teachers, support staff and pastoral teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 mentoring and tailored behaviour support
• Help pupils manage emotions and make positive behaviour choices
• Model respectful and consistent boundaries
• Support classroom routines and de-escalate where necessary
• Build trust and positive relationships with students
Job Requirements:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Calm, confident, and emotionally resilient
• A non-judgemental, empathetic approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willing to apply for one)
