Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Hathersage (S32)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a friendly school in Hathersage. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career or those who enjoy working with young people in an educational setting.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lessons during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive behaviour.
- Offer general support to students across various subject areas.
- Report on student engagement and progress to teaching staff.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people in any capacity is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Adaptability and confidence in delivering lessons across different subjects.
- A calm, patient, and professional approach to behaviour management.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
