Location: Sheffield (S3)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher for a progressive school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive teaching team where your expertise will inspire students to think critically, read widely, and write creatively.

Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature to key stage students. Your goal will be to foster a love for reading and writing while helping students develop essential communication skills.

Responsibilities as an English Teacher:

  • Teach engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Prepare students for GCSE assessments and track progress effectively.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff.

Requirements for English Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Specialism or strong background in English Language and/or Literature.
  • Recent experience teaching English at the school level.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
