Salary: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are delighted to recruit a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher for a specialised provision within a welcoming school in the Sheffield (S10) area. This role offers the opportunity to truly change lives by delivering tailored education to students with a range of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP-linked learning strategies tailored to each pupil’s unique needs.
- Utilise a variety of teaching approaches and assistive technology to support student progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Track progress using assessment tools and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Manage behaviour positively, using de-escalation techniques and restorative approaches when needed.
- Uphold all safeguarding and child protection responsibilities in accordance with school and statutory policies.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a specialist or inclusive setting.
- In-depth knowledge of SEN best practices, including differentiation, EHCP implementation, and multi-agency working.
- Empathy, resilience, and a calm, adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong behaviour management skills tailored to pupils with diverse and complex needs.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
