Salary: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are actively recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Sheffield (S13) area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school that values sportsmanship, student well-being, and high standards across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable), promoting active participation and skill development.
  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities, adapting lessons to suit different abilities and needs.
  • Organise and oversee extra-curricular sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and school sporting events.
  • Promote health, fitness, teamwork, and leadership through structured lessons and pastoral support.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive sporting environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor student progress, behaviour, and development, providing regular feedback and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and sports staff to enhance the physical education programme.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute positively to the wider school ethos.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, with strong knowledge of national curriculum standards.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for physical education and youth development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different educational settings and student needs.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
