Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary: Up to £110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking to recruit a passionate and reliable Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming Primary school in Barnsley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025 and is ideal for someone dedicated to making a difference in the early stages of education.
Role Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stages, helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Your role will include working alongside the class teachers to assist with learning activities and providing one-to-one or small group support as needed.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with their learning, both in the class and in small intervention groups.
- Assist the teacher with classroom management and lesson preparation.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is preferred.
- A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
