Job Title: SEMH Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Location: Romford
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £90 – £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time

We are working with a supportive secondary school in Romford seeking a Graduate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in psychology, social sciences, or education to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact.
The Role:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs

Help pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment

Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff to deliver personalised support

Assist with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and pupil engagement
Ideal Candidate:
-
A graduate with a background in Psychology, Education, Criminology or a related field

Previous experience working with vulnerable young people or those with SEN/SEMH is desirable

Calm, empathetic, resilient and confident in building relationships with pupils

Keen to pursue a career in teaching, mental health, therapy, or youth work
