Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a motivated and experienced English Teacher to join schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for enthusiastic educators who are ready to deliver engaging English lessons and help students develop strong literacy and communication skills.
Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in both English Language and Literature across Key Stages. You will promote a love for reading and writing while preparing students for academic success.
Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
- Teach English Language and Literature to students of varying abilities.
- Use innovative teaching methods to engage and challenge learners.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute departmental planning and whole-school literacy initiatives.
Requirements for English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is mandatory.
- Experience teaching English in a UK school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
