Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield (S9)
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a classroom setting.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing a classroom during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task with the work set. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators seeking flexible work.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.
- Maintain classroom order and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Provide guidance and support to students where necessary.
- Report back on student progress and any concerns to senior staff.
- Uphold school policies regarding behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people (school-based or otherwise).
- Strong classroom presence and communication skills.
- Confidence to lead and engage in a class.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
