Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brighton
Daily Rate: £90 - £100 (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Brighton. You’ll be working with pupils who may have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs, helping them to build confidence, emotional resilience, and access learning in meaningful ways.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing in-class and 1:1 support

  • Encouraging engagement and promoting emotional regulation

  • Adapting activities to suit individual needs

  • Responding to behaviour calmly and supportively

  • Collaborating with teachers and wider pastoral staff

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural needs

  • Calm, empathetic, and consistent

  • Able to build rapport and provide firm but kind boundaries

  • Reliable, committed, and a great team player

  • DBS on the update service or happy to apply for one
