Salary: £83 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of schools across Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide support to teachers and pupils in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils, including those with SEND.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting is desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous.
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to working with young learners.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
