Salary: £83 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and are committed to helping them succeed both academically and socially.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in supporting students’ learning, behaviour, and wellbeing under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide classroom support to teachers and help deliver engaging lessons.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and completing activities.
- Support children with additional needs on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the assessment and progress of pupils through observations and feedback.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:
- Experience working in a school or with children/young people is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and flexible attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A full, up-to-date CV with employment history and explanation of any gaps over the last 10 years.
