Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Support students in and outside of the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.
- Work closely with teachers to prepare learning materials and deliver support strategies.
- Provide one-to-one or group interventions for pupils with additional needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Help track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and engaging school environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- A genuine interest in education and student development.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
