GSL Education are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Fareham. This opportunity is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about making a real difference in students’ academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Offer 1:1 and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Support the teaching team by reinforcing lesson content and adapting materials where needed.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and share insights with teachers and SEN staff.
- Promote students’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Assist with the implementation of individual support strategies and classroom routines.
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Skills & Requirements:
- Experience supporting young people in an educational or care setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the needs of all students.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
