Salary: Up to £110 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. As a TA, you will be a key part of the classroom team, supporting early learning and helping young pupils thrive in different Key Stages. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils to reinforce learning.
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom management.
- Encouraging pupil participation and helping to build their confidence and independence.
- Supporting children with additional needs, where required.
- Helping maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need to:
- Have prior experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be patient, approachable, and committed to supporting pupil progress.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps in the last 10 years.
