SEN Teaching Assistant – Greenwich

Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Greenwich. This role involves supporting students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.

  • Encourage social and emotional development, supporting pupils’ confidence and independence.

  • Implement behaviour support strategies under guidance from senior staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEN is desirable.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A positive, patient and resilient attitude.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
