GSL Education are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to work within a vibrant school setting in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys promoting physical health and well-being while supporting young learners’ development both in and out of the classroom.
Role Overview:
As a Sports Coach, you will lead engaging PE sessions, support learning across different environments, and promote key values such as teamwork, perseverance, and healthy living. You’ll collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver a broad range of structured sporting activities for pupils of varying ages and abilities.
Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:
- Deliver a engaging programme of physical education and sports, both during and after school hours.
- Encourage the development of pupils’ physical skills, cooperation, and positive sporting values.
- Assist in PE lessons and contribute to classroom activities when required.
- Support the supervision and behaviour management of pupils during physical sessions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment throughout all activities.
Requirements for Sports Coach:
- Relevant experience in sports coaching, physical education, or youth engagement.
- Previous work with children or young people in schools, clubs, or community settings.
- Strong communication and planning skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable mindset.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Submit a complete CV detailing any gaps in employment over the past 10 years.
