Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Blyth (S81)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in Blyth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their full potential.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You’ll provide one-to-one and small group interventions, helping students to develop coping strategies, improve their classroom engagement, and build positive relationships.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Support pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional needs.
- Deliver tailored interventions and promote positive behaviour strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Monitor behaviour and progress, reporting concerns when necessary.
- Provide a calm, consistent, and nurturing presence throughout the school day.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
- A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV, with 10 years explanation of any employment gaps.
