Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Hope (S33)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in Hope. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children who need extra support to thrive in an educational setting.

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who display challenging behaviours, supporting them both inside and outside the classroom. Your guidance will help them develop emotional regulation skills, re-engage with learning, and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with behavioural needs.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Promoting positive attitudes and emotional resilience.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitoring student progress and helping to create individual support plans.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
  • A calm, patient, and supportive approach.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full, up-to-date CV, with 10 years explanations for any employment gaps.
