Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S14). This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to overcome challenges and achieve success in their education.
Key Responsibilities of the SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Foster positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
- Support class teachers in creating an inclusive and calm learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and the wider school team to support student development.
Requirements for the SEMH Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience working as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
- Knowledge of SEMH support strategies and safeguarding procedures.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
