Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduate
Location: Hull
Salary: £90 – £104.94 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time/ Part-time, Long Term/ Day-to-day
Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education?
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hull from September. This role is perfect for individuals who are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support and are eager to apply their understanding of child development and behaviour in a practical classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities for the TA:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs (e.g., SEN or SEMH).
- Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Help implement strategies to support learning, social and emotional development.
- Support students with behavioural or mental health challenges using positive interventions.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in schools or working with children (desirable but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
