Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S10). This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist class teachers with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support pupils’ learning and development in a variety of subjects and activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion within the classroom.
- Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
- Support the physical, emotional, and social needs of pupils to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role supporting pupils with SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
