Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Doncaster. This SEN TA position is perfect for someone who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of pupils with additional needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assisting the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting pupils with their emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction.
  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on pupil development.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A nurturing and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with all employment gaps explained.
