Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Immingham
Salary: £98.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time, Long-Term / Day-to-Day

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving school in Immingham. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys taking initiative and delivering high-quality learning support.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will take on a varied role supporting classroom teaching, leading interventions, and delivering lessons in the teacher’s absence. You’ll work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to provide an engaging and inclusive learning experience for pupils across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons to whole classes or groups using pre-prepared materials.
  • Support class teachers with lesson planning and resource preparation.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work with pupils who have additional needs, adapting approaches to support learning and behaviour.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Have previous experience delivering lessons or leading learning activities.
  • Be confident working across different year groups and supporting a range of learners.
  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
