Job Title: RE Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about religious education and confident in managing classrooms? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated RE Supervisor to support secondary schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to step into teaching or develop classroom experience within the humanities department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared RE lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Encourage respectful and engaging discussions on world religions and beliefs

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom behaviour

  • Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and transitions as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students in a classroom or youth setting

  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for education and an understanding of religious studies

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through us)

  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to build rapport with students quickly
